Inner Heron Island

This is a very lyrical painting, composed in a painterly impressionist style of Inner Heron Island, near Christmas Cove, South Bristol Maine. Mott-Smith frequently painted from this vantage point, on his family’s property. The palette is made up of pinks, purples, yellows and blues. From a vantage point of a jutting of rocks, the artist paints a distant island and sail boat. This fine antique oil painting is framed in its original hand carved gilded frame. Excellent condition.
