Sea Treasures I

Debbie Young was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. Daughter of the famous Hawaii artist John Chin Young. She was heavily influenced by her artistic surroundings. She studied at the Honolulu Academy of Arts and received her Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from California at the San Francisco Art Institute. Her works are deeply rooted in daily life and the natural world, often reflecting her connection to the environment. Working intuitively, she responds to color, light and the atmospheric energy around her. A true colorist and genius of mood an atmosphere, her works create environments of imagination.
