Zhong Guei is considered to be a paragon of loyalty. He returned to drive out the demons from the Emperor’s dreams. He is called the Demon Queller. He is known in Japan as Shoki. He is usually shown brandishing a sword. Here of course he is shown as an official with his attendant.
