Three Monkeys

Late 18th or early 19th century Japanese painting of 3 monkeys by Mori Sosen. Mori Sosen was a Kano painter known for his nature studies of animals. He specialized in painting monkeys, and eventually changed his name to Saru, one meaning of which is Monkey.

猴子。森宗泽。江户（18 – 19世纪）。设色纸本立轴。质优。作者是18世纪末至19世纪的一位著名画家，擅长画猴，取艺名Saru，意即猴子。
