Mark Kadota was born in 1952 and has been a self taught contemporary multimedia artist since 1970. Through art, Kadota wishes to use it as a universal language to communicate with the audience in a palatable and aesthetic manner. His works portray concepts of the present society and identity in a unique light. Some of the media he has worked with include but aren’t limited to are painting, video, photography, music, and sculpture. He has traveled the world studying techniques and attitudes. Many of his pieces have not only been exhibited in Hawaii, but throughout the world such as in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the 2009 Venice Biennale, the 2011 One Minuet Video and Film Festival in Switzerland and many more.
